Fall Bag Trends are something I look forward to every year! The perfect bag can change the look of any outfit and allows you to experiment with fun fabrics and textures. Designer bags are the new norm, but lets be honest… they don’t exactly fit a balanced budget when the run $3,000-$10,ooo a bag. Affordable options are so accessible and offer the look and feel of a designer bag in a price range that wont break the bank. I have compiled some of my favourite trends from this season which showcase features from the runway without the price tag! Happy shopping !
I know I know this one is a splurge… BUT I included it for a reason. Marc Jacobs is a fantastic brand and eases you in gently to the luxury market without spending your life savings on a purse. I was gifted a Marc Jacobs bag years ago and it has maintained its shape, condition, and everlasting style since. It is definitely an investment – but if you are into the labels this is the brand I would go for in terms of everyday use! I love the wine colour of this bag and the shape is sure to be turning heads for years to come. On the runway this year we saw a lot of bags with the round bottom and I love that this has the sort of western flare. Click the icon below to check it out!
Call it Spring is my go to shop for trendy bags with accents that may or may not return next year in terms of style. The structured characteristics of this bag give me mega Celine and Hermes vibes and I can carry this without having to re-mortgage my house! I am living for this army green colour this year and I have a feeling this colour will be making many appearances in my fall wardrobe! Louis Vuitton and Balenciaga showed us a lot of structured, short handled, bags in their fall collection this year and this one really highlights those features. Click the icon to get your own!
Anything with suede and fringe has my name written all over it. What made this bag stand out to me was the exceptional elephant grey colour! I also love the fold over top and simplicity of the seaming. Calvin Clien, Dior, and Celine all featured eye catching clutches in their fall 2017 show and I am loving that large clutches are making a comeback.
My love for fringe is REAL. When I saw the outrageous and colourful fringe that Alexander Mcqueen featured in the fall fashion show I was hooked. Unfortunately, a bag of that caliber doesn’t fit this girls balanced budget, but this forever 21 bag sure does. I love the ability to wear this as a cross body/shoulder bag or as a clutch! Fringe is a fall staple.
This bag is so clean and structured that it is totally timeless. I have been skeptical to buy faux leather from lower end stores like Forever 21, but I was wrong. I previously purchased a similar bag and it has lasted me years! And at 45 dollars, what a steal! This is the perfect bag for work that transitions so nicely to evening or a day out shopping. Match that baby with a taupe floppy hat and you are the definition of fall!
Chain accents make an appearance on the runway year after year and I don’t see them going anywhere! The mixture of metal with suede in this bag screams elegance to me while still staying funky and unique. Valentino brought us some new chain features this year and this is a trend I am happy to have come back year after year. H&M has always provided great trendy bag options at ridiculously affordable price points!
OK this one takes the CAKE. I am not sure if its the heavy structure, the industrial strap, or the gorgeous army colour but I am obsessed with this bag. This is definitely a reference to the very out of balance brand, Celine, but I am here for it. This bag is chiq, trendy, and eye catching and it is a must have in my fall closet. This bag might not be for everyone, but I am LOVING IT.
The hobo bag – a classic. I think Louis Vuitton has capitalized the market on the most iconic hobo satchel and this H&M dupe is an affordable runner up. The brown suede is such a luxurious look and it will be the perfect complement to boots and jeans and scarves! I love the ability to throw this over the shoulder or hook it on your arm. This casual bag has some mega potential for very put together fall fashion, and at that price I just might have to see what other colours they have!
